While they both express overall satisfaction with their relationship, Jennifer expresses discontent with some of its aspects. Outside of race, there are still some issues that need to be ironed out in their sex lives. They persevered as friends and lovers, got over their fears of commitment, learned to trust each other, and, since they became exclusive this past June, they are still withstanding pressure from their families. It was clear that being in an interracial relationship had made them a strong couple. Also, neither considered stereotypes about race when they got together. It was so intimate.”Īlthough Sean had never been in a relationship with a white woman, Jennifer had dated black men before. “At first we were using condoms and then we stopped. “We had sex all the time several times in a row, trying so many different positions – it was incredible.” Jennifer continued. But springtime is merely an appetizer for summertime’s feast, and during the summer heat, the passion inside Sean and Jennifer’s relationship fully expressed itself. People say that springtime paves the way for great sex because it showcases pairs of legs that were covered up to ward off snowflakes. When summer came, and they found themselves in Pittsburgh, it seemed that without college parties and school deadlines, they had some time to really get to know each other on several fronts.įrom a sexual standpoint, it was the most intense summer they had ever experienced. “I didn’t expect us to go as far as we did,” Jennifer says of their first night. They later found out that they lived on the same floor in the same dorm, and what they had anticipated finally was fulfilled in Sean’s room. Even after the last song they were still in motion, and it wouldn’t be the last time they broke a sweat together that evening. “She was definitely grinding on me,” Sean remembers of their first night. Luckily, the unnoticed glances at each other ended at the official meeting place for most hook-ups with clothes on – the dance floor. The attraction was undeniable even before they met. They had seen each other at campus eateries, at the Pete, on shuttles – always in passing but never long enough to have a conversation.
